I’ve got to say your refusal was so polite, it’s a classic. Made me laugh. My aunts 87 in her own home and the only way they will take her out of there is in a wooden box xx
You are funny. I was born in Rugby so not to far. Relocated to Wales to help my aunt aged 87 years young! Two children daughter lives in Melton Mowbray, son in Dallas, Texas. Hence my name . Married for over twenty five years, divorced twelve years ago. Slight culture shock. Alas, no grandchildren yet. Read your bio, we have nothing in common I love silly films, Korean series (they are so respectful) crime series etc on Netflix. I’m an avid reader, love musical theatre but not opera. Love Mario Lanza, listened to his Christmas carols yesterday whilst wrapping. So beautiful I ended up with soggy wrapping paper . Nothing but admiration for people who can sew, do needlepoint, knit, crochet. My mother and grandmother were so talented. I can’t but I do draw. May I ask why Beany? What are you doing for Christmas? My aunt and I are visiting my daughter.. Hopefully speak soon,
AJDallas
I was married for thirty four years to Bill a lovely guy eighteen years older than me and our two sons are doing us proud.I see Ryan often as he pops up from Northampton and is excellent at doing any odd jobs round the house. My elder son lives in London and does not drive .He and his Italian wife have my two grandchildren.Alessandro is at Prague Uni and Sophia is in London.I have one sister and three nieces so not a huge family but we are all close and do a fortnightly on line get together to hear all the news.As an avid tv watcher I am going to watch Strictly which has been altered to cover the footballHopefully I won’t lose you again.Beany
Can’t believe it, my first name Avril but was always called by my middle name since birth: Jean, and my father always called me Jean the Queen
From Jean the Queen My son is married to a Mexican/American girl. He and she are so beautiful from inside and out. Really miss him since he moved to Dallas. He is an architect, honours student; 6ft 5inches so not to tall in Dallas My daughter whom I spoilt rotten ♀️ But a credit to to me! Doesn’t drink, smoke, eat unhealthy foods, wonderful daughter but I’m the antipathies! Georgie is successful, beautiful and trust me, given I’m very critical has a lovely partner, Ben. But it’s hard yes Beany; when the children you focused on too much leave. the nest. Anyway we all get together at holidays. Both children want me to live with them but I can never leave my aunt. Strictly I watch now and again, honestly prefer law & order Come on Beany can only have so much frilly dresses, or dresses that don’t really. exist One thing I hope, we are not messaging for everyone else to see Did ask silver chat but as yet no response. Hope you’re really looking forward to Christmas, I’m just about sorted bar wrapping. At least not waiting for any more parcels to arrive, thank goodness xx

Now to address your issue: You are mobile, there is life in the old girl yet Christmas is never boring get yourself a classic bottle of wine for Christmas Eve, turn those Christmas lights on and watch a great movie xx Also remember there are always people who will chat to you, as I’m chatting now. Re: chat answer me this how can a company promise delivery 21st Dec. via Amazon, then come back to me saying delivery after 27th! Sorry just got back had a fantastic Christmas and New Year. My aunt and I stayed with my daughter and her partner. So much fun. Re: my daughter she is talented (I don’t know the horses bit piece , would say main but not sure if the correct spelling to its rear ) My daughter awarded scholarships on horses supplied (we are not rich) won competitions especially jumping and dressage, and taught riding, Just her passion stopped when she lost her horse Roza,: A completely neurotic thoroughbred. Oh and they did pick each other, only my daughter could control her, Mind you her Serbian grandfather was a horse whisperer so maybe that’s where she got the talent from ♀️ Anyway enough about my daughter. Firstly how are the donkeys? What are their names! You are so soft when it comes to animals Secondly what are your New Years Resolutions? Did you have a great Christmas? Bye4Now x
to keep the horses company, she produced a skewbald girl .called Tiffany 'cos she was born at breakfast time ,,,Totally not expected... cars used to pull up to see tiny donkey wrapping herself
around the legs of a very large horse ,called Laura and obviously loved her to bits, Next two ,,should have been one ,rescued from a slaughter yard ,brown and shaggy ,called her Zara ..

my Xmas was expectedly quiet , Proper friends all live miles away .. And ,,,lifelong rule .not to drive on motorways in holiday times ,,
I do like ,and love animals ,horses first .dogs next ,,,, goats , are like clouds to take car of ,, rabbits that lived in the hay store and would come when called ,a homing pigeon that lost it's way and decided to stay .and slept on a horse back. enough ,,on my favourite subject

We are so opposite you and I but you make me laugh. I’m into comfort, tv, books, holidays and no Ari totally teetotal over Christmas; boring. You are into animals and the great outdoors. However, you are great to chat to, Hope you get this message, I still can’t work this site! Drop me a line.and tell me what you’re up too.

I’m male, 71. I live in Kansas, The Land of Oz. I’m far from Chesterfield, but at least I don’t smoke. I hope you had a nice weekend.
Dennis
How very nice to meet you. The weather is cool in Kansas. I’ve been using the wood stove to heat the house. I haven’t turned the propane on yet. The cats love to sit in front of the fire. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Dennis
Where do you live?
I've made a point to forget my age. I'm from Aberdeen so please feel free to fee sorry for me....giggles.
Steff
I'm Ann from west Midlands, are you having a good day today
I'm looking forward to the autumn season and abundance of colours in the countryside
Let me know if you want to chat
Ann
Thanks for your message
I live with my husband and our 3 cats in the west midlands in England.
It's not very warm here at the moment,it's now 14 degrees which is a tad cool for September
I have a penpal from the USA she lives in Cleveland, Ohio, she tells me it's been very hot their the past couple of months.
What kind of things do you grow on your farm.
I love gardening and flowers but being in a small townhouse we don't have a very big garden so grow a lot in pots.
I bet your dog is beautiful,I love Pyrenean mountain dogs.
I'm looking after my neighbours 2 cats for a couple of weeks now they are on holiday,I tend to look after most of the neighbours cat's during the holidays, they know I like animals
Well hope you have a good weekend, take care, ann
I live on 10 acres, and grow a huge garden. My tomatoes did very well this year. I give most of them away, and have run out of friends that want them. My wife passed on March 4th, 2023. This is not such a good place to live alone. It was wonderful when there were two of us, and I wasn’t prepared to be by myself.
It has been hot, and very dry here in Kansas for many weeks. The real farmers worry about their corn and soybean yields. I wish you could mail some of that cool weather to Kansas. I’ll trade you some tomatoes for it.
Hello from a chilly blighty today,it's actually been sunny today but a maximum of 14 degrees and some rural areas had frost this morning
Our tomatoes have been rubbish this year, not enough sunshine to make them grow or ripen same as the blueberries.
I'm really sorry to hear your wife passed away last year,it can't be very nice living in a very rural area on your own.
Do you have any family who visit you
There's only 2 of us,we don't have children and no close relatives apart from my almost 95year old mom whom I spend a lot of time looking after, I've been with her most of today.
I'm looking after my neighbours 2 cats for two weeks that's keeping me busy also
My husband works full time in a garden centre but I don't work now as I look after mom a lot of the time
I hope you have a good weekend and send some warm sunshine our way please
Bye for now,Ann
Please forgive me for writing again. John Prine wrote in a song, “Everybody needs somebody that they can talk to.” As I age alone on this farm his words are so prophetic it sends shivers down my spine. Yes, I have four grown children, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. They are scattered to the winds, but I do communicate regularly with several of them. I have four brothers and two sisters still living. We are all elderly, and suffer from various ailments. Cancer (which took my lovely Alisa) has invaded two of my brothers. A third is on dialysis and the fourth has had heart surgery, although he has recovered well. I’m lucky in that a hip replacement has been my only ailment. Father Time has worked his magic on my immediate family. It is our turn. Or soon will be.
As I sit on this porch with not a car or person in sight I realize how living in this isolated spot in the world has governed my relationships with my family. While Alisa was alive it wasn’t a big deal. She loved the isolation, and she loved taking care of the house and the porches. I built her a teahouse for our twentieth anniversary. We sat out there many summer nights with a glass of wine and listened to music. The teahouse has been empty since she died. I haven’t painted the porch floors since she died. I haven’t cared enough to do it. The barn swallows tried to build nests and left splotches of mud on the porch ceiling. Alisa would never stand for such things, and would insist on cleaning the mud off. I can’t bring myself to care.
Thanks for talking to me. Everybody needs somebody that they can talk to.
Dennis
I live with my 44 year old daughter and her dog and cat.
I’m ready for fall.
The saddest part of my life is the teahouse. It was an “every summer evening adventure” for Alisa and I for many years. We both loved music. We took our phones and Bluetooth speakers out there every night, often listening and talking until midnight. Everything just feels so empty now. Everything is quiet. No one knows or cares about how Alisa and I spent our summer evenings. Except me. I’m considering moving to get away from the memories.
Thank you for talking.
Dennis
I live in Northamptonshire, too. Would you like to chat?
New also, trying to understand how it works. Chat some time?
I’m sorry to hear about your wife passing. It can be a very difficult situation to navigate. I am 69 and have been divorced for 4 years after a marriage of 46 years.
I’m lucky my 2 daughters live in town. Six grandchildren keep me running, especially the 3 year old.
Knee surgery for me on September 19, my daughter is staying with me to help.
I try to stay busy, water aerobics and a little flower gardening, but sometimes it isn’t enough.
Life is too short to let yourself be unhappy.
I’m around most days, especially while convalescing. I’d be glad to chat with you.
Thank you for writing. Good luck with your knee surgery. Are you getting a knee replacement? My brothers have both had knee replacement surgery, and two sisters in law as well. They recovered well, and are glad they did it. My hip replacement went well also. I had it done at the VA Hospital in Omaha (I’m a retired US Army soldier).
Getting old is not for the faint of heart. I spent yesterday cleaning out the she-shed. Painting the concrete floor of the she-shed was the last project Alisa planned. She bought the paint in summer 2022, but didn’t feel well enough to do it. This should have clued me in that something was wrong, but it didn’t. She never started a project without finishing it. On January 25, 2023 she was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. She died on March 4, 2023…five days before her 62nd birthday. We were married 25 years. I promised her I would care for our kitties Star and Luna, so my life these days revolves around them.
I hope your surgery goes well. The 19th—next Thursday— I’ll be thinking about you.
Dennis
