I'm a 61 year old lady living in North London and retired from my job as a primary school deputy headteacher last Summer.

Although I have a wide circle of friends, I do not have anyone to holiday with. I enjoy cruising and would also like to visit the Canadian Rockies, go on the Rocky Mountainer train and an Alaska cruise.

I am an independent person, clean and considerate and would love to find a female ( between 50 & 70) to share a cabin / room to reduce costs and to have some company.

Please get in touch if you are interested. It would be good to meet up beforehand ( if possible).

Hello Bwf .....The Rocky Mountaineer train including Banff and an Alaskan cruise are on my wish list. ........ I am an early retired professional lady, non-smoker, living in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands. I am usually reliable and easy-going and have been hoping to find a genuine travel companion. I have been on a number of cruises, and would like to see more of the world in this way. Hoping to hear from you and agree it is best to meet up before making any arrangements.

I was fortunate to to do this trip a few years ago. I was preparing to go alone when one of my friend asked to join me. Over 14 days we did a land cruise by coach around Banf and Lake Louise, Crossed the Rocky Mountains by train. We then boarded a Princess cruise ship and travelled the Tracy's Arm passage around Alaska .... It was one of the best holidays I've ever had and I'd go again in a heart beat. I hope you find a travel companion to join you on your travels as you will have an amazing trip.

Happy Traveling.

hello
i am also recently retired from primary school teaching - although still doing a little bit of supply - to fund further holidays. recently back for an Australia and New Zealand cruise. I did this with two other widows. i had a great time but they will not travel long haul again as they found it too much. I live in Worcestershire and am open to holidays anywhere. I travelled a lot when my husband was alive and am keen to continue doing this whilst I m fit and well!!
regards

I'm a 66 year old woman wanting to walk the coastal walk in Portugal to Santiago, about 600 kms. Not sure what that is in miles. I have walked Camino Frances , 3 times but my age + technology has taken away the need to walk alone. I am still searching , here in Canada, for someone I could meet before departure , but no luck so far. Would like to go in Sept/ Oct . I would also like to hear from anyone who has walked this Way. Thanks for reading from AC .
Response from Smoogles made on 12th Apr 2017 22:10:19
How long do you figure this walk will take? The Camino is on my bucket list.
Response from ACM made on 17th Apr 2017 23:14:17
I walked the Camino France's in just short of 6 weeks and that was 800 kms. Camino Portugal is about 660 kms , so I would guess 4 weeks + .
Response from buskerboy made on 19th Apr 2017 10:11:43
Hi,
I (64 year old male) will be doing the Camino from Porto to Santiago to Finesterre this June but will be taking the main route not the coatsal - but to be honest will make final decison when I get there. I have done the French Camino in three stages over three years - Leon to Santiago, St Jean to Burgos and Burgos to Santiago (with some detours). I will keep you posted, but am always open for walking companion.
I try and do a couple of long walks a year. Was thinking about the Colorado trail in September...anyone have experience of that?

First time here. Looking for a fun travel companion to hang out with on a cruise. I'm a married, 55 F with husband who doesn't like to travel. I like 'alone' time, so would need my own cabin, not looking to share, and can afford the single supplement, but hate dining alone all the time. I live in Illinois, and could meet up before, or not.

Thinking of going on the NCL Escape (7 days) from Miami on April 29, or maybe Alaska later this summer.

I am 74 yrs of age Gent looking for a Lady 59-69 yrs. to share 7 nights holiday
in 3rd. week of May, this is twin bedded room but level of intimacy would be her choice. en suite facilities ensure privacy re shower/toilet facilities.
B/B & good menu evening meal with outdoor & indoor entertainment, Bar & cabaret WiFi in main block. In charming Suffolk locality, small indoor pool, beach and walks nearby. Have car for trips out.
After several holidays alone, have found it's not so much fun as with some one who of course I would have to get to know in the coming weeks, a friend or relative would be welcome as a chaperone during this period of initial aquantance.
The holiday would be at my expense, (it is already paid for) except for personal spending for which there is a rebate of 10% via a loyalty card.

Hi I'm a 62 year old female living in East Anglia looking for a female of similar age to travel to India with. Only a short trip about two weeks maybe three but have never been and would love to since seeing 'The Real Marigold Hotel' on tv. Would like to travel around probably the golden triangle and maybe Kerala as well. I like to site see but don't want to rush around every day as I also just love to soak in the atmosphere. Have been quite a few places in the past. I'm very easy going and easy to get on with just don't have a single friend in the same circumstances. I'd like to stay in decent hotels or havellis and maybe hire a driver as it's relatively cheap in India.

Hi everyone This is the first forum I have ever joined, I do not trust the internet and people so I live in very quiet semi isolation. However I retired early after being made return and I have decided I would like to see certain parts of the world due to the morbid fascination I have with history which has been developed through past experiences.
I have always had an interest in the morbid side of history, my personal experiences have developed this interest,
I am looking for someone to accompany me on a short trip at the end of this year to visit to Elmina Island in Ghana to see the 'door of no return' and perhaps next year to visit the Deep South of America where the slaves lived.
I would also like to see Graceland.
If anyone has the same interest as me please make contact. Perhaps we could build up a mutual respectful 'friendship'. I live in the Lincolnshire.
Response from Fflorielle made on 11th Mar 2017 16:37:30
I must be a bit like you I have visited war graves all over the world including Singapore..also visited Changi Prison while I was there and I have been to Stone town in Tanzania and saww there slaves were held .
I have visited the US several times but not the Deep South which is on my bucket list.

I don't find this a terribly good site for keeping in touch so if you would like to contact me my email is [email protected]

Hi Lynda

Sounds like we have a lot in common. I thought I was the only one who was married to someone who doesn't like to travel. I have traveled alone in the past but struggle with eating evening meals alone. 🙂 I live on the outskirts of London

Hi Linda I live in leighton buzzard so most probably not to far from you. I also am married but husband not able to travel . I would be up for meeting for a coffee and chat if it could be arranged to suit us both.

Hi there.
I should get out more and feel I would be more inspired if I had a female travel companion.
I live in South lakes UK near the Lancashire border.
I am in my 60s now but still pretty active and working three days a week. However I am told by my daughter I should get on with things now !
If you want to have an easy chat please get in touch. Foreign or home travel is an option.
Response from tapping made on 24th Feb 2017 16:08:21
Hi, I am also in my 60's and volunteer in conservation and although I am not big on walking I do like to explore new places. I would love to explore more of our coastline and Scotland, but I also love Italy. I love taking photographs and I attempt some sketching and water colour paintings.

I am travelling to Chicago in May to give a lecture at Loyola University. I am looking for someone to share a road trip with starting in Washington and then onto Chicago. Then onto San Fransisco via Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore. Then fly home from there. I am an easy going educated professional writer and art dealer.

Hi everyone who's posted on here recently. I've just joined this site and looking for travel companions. Maybe a few of us could get together and meet up. Males and females ... and create a nice travel group. That way we are bound to have a mix of likes and dislikes to make the trips more interesting.
I have been to India (twice recently) to visit my daughter whilst she was working there and enjoyed it very much.
I also went to Arizona and California last year.
Happy to go off exploring and enjoy experiencing different cultures. Would like to get a party of 5 or 6 together and rent a place somewhere rather than hotels. .... or happy with short city breaks in Europe.
Message me if interested in meeting up. I live just outside Cambridge.

Thx ....see you soon 🙂

I am female and looking for someone who is interested in going to Portugal. I like activity based things, also like my own space. It's nice to do your own thing sometimes and meet up at the end of the day.
