I have many interests which are many, but the main ones are music, travel, animals etc.

Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Hello celtwitch, I am seeking friends in Lancashire to chat with and perhaps go on holiday. I know the feeling, I have two daughters but they have their own life now. Yes! It is strange when you get past 60yrs. You seem to become invisible. The answer is to make yourself heard I suppose. I still work 3 days a week and will be retiring next year. I say directly what I think to any person who crosses the line in the direction of age discrimination. It seems to work well. If you are interested then I will give you my name so you can contact me. I am also interested in the North of Portugal, I believe it is greener and not quite so hot with more hills than beaches. My daughter and her boyfriend stay in a fishing village call Sesimbra which is one hour from Lisbon. She thinks it is a good place to chill out. I like walking, but recently had a knee problem which has slowed me down a little but there is always "walking for softies" I love the country, wine tasting, mountains etc. Sorry to hear about your wife Angie. Another newbie to this forumHello I live in Lancashire, not too far from Yorkshire. I go to North Yorkshire quite often with my daughter to a lovely little village just past Settle called Clapham. We go for a lovely little walk up to Ingleborough cave. There is a nice little cafe in the village that we go to for a meal. Where about in North Yorkshire do you live? I would love to hear from you. What am I doing wrong?Hello TaxJudge I relate to your message above. I have been successful too. I have friends. Both of my daughters live in the same road as myself. I never knock on their door. We respect our privacy and ring first. I'm afraid I have too many "I's just like you. I have wondered where I am going wrong, but I have decided it is fate, or some people are luckier than others I guess. I think that it would be nice if we could both find "Love" we all need to love and be loved. Best Wishes Don't give up on life! What will be will be! Classical musicHi Dolph I love classical music especially Chopin and Listz. My daughter plays in the Southport Philarmonich Orchestra in Southport. They have a concert three times a year, so I usually support that and go along with a few friends. I can appreciate, just listening to Classical music, but I usually just listen to pop at home.
