Campolady's bio
Hi, lady 70 fit and well, Slim love to travel, animal and Coutryside lover, enjoy gardening, reading, theatre, equally at home in Wellies or evening wear, enjoy International Cousine, a real foodie. Would love to meet Travel Companion for future travel, on my bucket list Southern India, Sri Lanka, the Scandanavian Countries but the World in general, have visited many Countries but never loose the travel bug. Not well off but like to travel with a little comfort, so no Hostels or back packing ,prefer small interesting family run places to stay and eat where the locals do. Have never travelled by Motor Home but would give it a try. Spend most of my time living in Southern Spain, when in UK Norfolk where I was brought up.
If you think that we may have things in common to talk about, love to hear from you.

TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?Hi All, Re my posting a few months ago regarding travel Companions to Kerala, headed "Marigold Hotel". Owing to the popularity of this film and series all sensible priced accomodation already booked for the next year or so! On to Plan B on my Travek Wish List.! Anyone out there who would like to join be on a trip to Sri Lanka leaving Heathrow 9th January 2018 for around 18 days? I have researched different reputable Travel Companies and come up with the following deal which I consider excellent value for money, 4 and 5 star hotels, most meals be it half board majority of days, flights from Heathrow, spending 14 days in Sri Lanka and a taster of 4 nights in Kerala, this includes all flights, transfers, plus 7 days touring Sri Lanka, 4 nights beachside resort etc., total cost at this moment £2380 per person sharing twin room, single room occupancy extra charge. This Itinery is not fixed and could be amended to suit anyone traveling with me. If of interest please contact me.ViewDate:

Problems Logging in?Well said Sally, why are members being so confrontational and one member in particular dominating conversations to the extent that others like myself just butt out? At the end if the day most people like myself joined this site to hopefully make new friends and find a suitable Companion to travel with. Come on Guys a bit more possativity and good will?ViewDate:

Dangerous Dog related safety for the public and environmentWhat is your problem? Nothing wrong whatsoever with dogs in urban areas as long as they are walked regularly and disaplined. Here in Spain a good 65 plus percent of dog owners live in apartments and have happy well balanced dogs that are true friends.ViewDate:

Dangerous Dog related safety for the public and environmentVery few dogs born vicious or dangerous, just ignorance usually on the part of the owners by buying or rescueing a high energy strong willed breed with little or no knowledge of how to train, excersise or control which usually ends in disaster for owner and dog. A very good program to watch on TV regarding this subject is the Mexican Cessa Milan referred to in the States as the " Dog Whisperer ". He teaches to use calm positive energy to gain respect and control. Anger only agrivates the situation. My pack, Jack Russel, German Shepherd and Shar Pei cross Labrador all run with the horses, goats etc.,ViewDate:

House plant pestsHi, Hi live in Southern Spain where Hibiscus grows everywhere but we also have this problem and I find that a weak solution of Fairy Liquid works well for me., sometimes I use a fine spray other times I froth up the fairy liquid solution and put the bubbles on the infected areas. Hope this works for you.ViewDate:

TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?Yes, joined an Internet travel site and met up with four ladies, one American, one Indian and two fellow Brits, spent four weeks travelling around Costa Rica and Panama with no problems at all. I think the key fact is go with a sense of adventure, humour and an open mind with the attitude that you are going to make things work out fine. Meet up first, have a list of questions that you want to ask each other, set a rough budget that suits all and get on with it? Happy Travels.ViewDate:

TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?Hi, rather disappointed as no takers so far for a travel companion to Sri Lanka, Kerala or Baltic Countries! Having recently retired I have been thinking of supplementing my income which is not great with Paying Guests at a reasonable cost. I live in a valley in Andalucia between Malaga and Marbella inland, 15 minutes by car to the town and beach, bus stop at end of drive but I drive into Town each day as I enjoy coffee and tapas and the opertunity to chat as I live on my own but family members nearby, enjoy cooking so happy for you to eat with me and join me on outings as would be happy to help you to explore more Spain. Please message and ask me any questions that you may have.ViewDate:
