Response from Christiana made on 28th Feb 2019 10:22:20
Contacts asking- I'm female my nearest airport Birmingham or East Midlands
Response from Retiredyorkie made on 12th Mar 2019 17:55:17
Having travelled to Benidorm a few times since being a solo traveller I myself prefer to old town of Benidorm - the Saga hotel is more in the busier side, clubs and bars etc. Everyone has their own preference on where they stay but I have found that the RH group has a selection of hotels in both location the one I stay in has a lot of repeat guests

Suggest you may like to try looking at the RH group web site -

Hope you find this bit of info helpful - happy holiday
Response from Christiana made on 12th Mar 2019 23:27:08
I've stopped in the old town many times but enjoy the entertainment in the Morgan Tavern-Sinatras-Western Saloon which is quite away from the old town hence having to catch taxis at night

Howdy out there fellow travellers! I am seeking a travelling companion, who likes the unknown! Ideally someone who likes to explore off the beaten path more than the traditional travel paths. A person who likes the local side: food, drink, culture, music, dance etc.. the essence of the country, rather than the laid on tourist bonanza. Although I am willing to visit the bonanza I much prefer to really engage with the real side of any country visited.

I am single, adventurous, and will have a go at most things. I seek to see the real world and all its beauty for the next coming years.

I want someone who is financially secure, confident in there abilities and can sometimes live on a budget as well as the balance of luxury. I want my money to go far, to experience as much as possible.

I am happy to travel Europe in a converted van or car or even train, bus metro etc..I would like wise love to do the same on any other Continent too.

If I capture your interest please message me to discuss further, this is a serious offer

Hi, my name is David I am 64 and active. I am looking for a travel companion for odd weeks here and there. I am fairly well travelled but being single I am fed up with my own company. I am based in London and Reading. Let me know if you want to go somewhere but not particularly on your own.

I'm a guy looking for a female companion to float the Danube River starting June 21, 2019 for 8 days, Nuremberg to Budapest with Viking Cruises. The cruise fare would be free to my partner as I have paid for a cabin for two. The airfare I'm not sure about. I'm 88, retired, in good health, reasonably attractive (at least I think so), 5" 11"", 210 lbs. have good humor and am fairly intelligent (IQ 139). I would prefer a lady about 50 to 75, also with good humor and reasonably smart (lesser IQ is fine). I'm not interested in romance, just good conversation (I prefer girls to guys because they're easier to get along with). Since it is a single cabin, I could erect a blanket on a rope partition ala Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert in "It Happened One Night."

My name is Randy Butterfield at [email protected]. Adventure awaits you (and me).
Response from Retiredyorkie made on 23rd Feb 2019 12:59:23
I have read your post and I had a good laugh especially the blanket on a rope partition - I wondered what the thoughts of the cabin cleaner would be when he has shared is findings with the rest of the crew.

Hope you manage to find a travel partner

Hello everyone. I'm thinking of travelling to Venice this year - maybe end of April/ May, maybe by train and enjoying the journey. Are there any arts/museum/train- loving guys out there who might like to accompany me?
Me: Active, youthful lady, attractive. Retired from employment, but from nothing else.
Look forward to hearing from you. Write soon.
Response from Pooly made on 19th Feb 2019 00:20:06
I like an interesting train journey myself, but better be quick, Venice is sinking fast!

Hi All,
I am Tony from the Cotswolds a non smoking down to earth positive easygoing guy not stuck in a decade from the past, although I do dance like my Dad so in need of a strictly partner.
Now retired and still fit not wanting to spend the dark cold nights in the U K I have rented a very nice two bedroom apartment in Competa Costa Del Sol Spain for 3 months December 2018 January February 2019. (photos available)
The apartment is on the edge of the village overlooking the mountains from the sun terrace and is a short drive to the coast with the car I have booked for the complete 3 months.
I have two male companions joining me but the period of January has become available due to a change in circumstances with one companion.
The costs works out £80 per week for the apartment including the car hire, extra for sharing the cost of electric, food, fuel for the car etc. (transfers to airport not a problem with car hired)
All items needed for a long stay are supplied including a washing machine plus a Lidl supermarket a short drive to the beach.
I would like someone to join me for the whole month not an odd week, so if you fancy some winter sun and adventure traveling around southern Spain please contact me.
Regards Tony

Hi Cotswoldtony, not able to join you but just wanted to say I lived in Competa for three years after I took early retirement. We had a place just outside the village with lovely views down to the sea. Its a lovely place and reading your notes reminded me of how much I enjoyed it there. My husband had a stroke and I felt I had to bring him home,

I would recommend anyone considering joining you to do so - lovely place, lovely people an so relaxing.

I've had a little trouble posting here in the past, but let's hope now I succeed.

I'm a fit and healthy 70 and a half year old vegetarian man,non smoker, well brought up, and fully house trained from Manchester, GSOH, seeks interesting company, m or f, to share the sights and sounds and meals of our travels. My travel interests are walking, wildlife and countryside, railway journeys and a leisurely coffee, or maybe wine. Other interests include history, jazz and motorsport.
Destinations in mind are Vancouver and maybe train south to SF, Sri Lanka, south India, Greece, a river cruise, or even a round trip of Scotland by train and lots of other places.
Any interested parties, and suggestions?
I look forward to hearing from you.
David

Hi, just returned from touring Sri Lanka and hoping to visit Southern India later in the year, particularly interested in Wildlife.

Also on bucket list, River Cruise, Scandinavian Countries, Amazon but this appears to be very costly!

I live just south of Manchester, in Derbyshire. Nice to come across another vegetarian - been so for about 35 years. Sharing meals is something I really miss.

Hi all. I live in Staffordshire and am an avid wildlife enthusiast. I've been studying birds for over 35 years and I'm looking at starting a small group to teach people my knowledge while enjoying the beautiful countryside.
Response from thebestisyet made on 12th Feb 2019 18:19:04
I'm just over the border. Mostly I'm just friendly with the local jackdaws - I mean it - they know me ( very clever birds). I don't seem to see much else, but maybe I don't know how to look?

Hi All, this is an update regarding my travel post last year...I am a retired 67 year old single guy from the Cotswolds who joined this site last year to make new friends and find a male or female travel buddy to spend the winter months in southern Spain. I rented a nice ground floor two bedroom apartment for three months (December, January & February) in the beautiful mountain village of Competa. I also rented a hire car for the whole period for transport to explore the region... I made contact with a great guy via this site and we became friends going to live music festivals in the U K before our agreed trip to Competa...The weather has been fabulous with only 3 days in December slightly overcast with rain one day for an hour, January has also been good weather with 4 days overcast and 2 days with rain in the morning only then sunny in the afternoon. February has started with 2 overcast days with rain one day in the morning but now full sunshine again with a forecast for sunshine all of this week. Temperatures on sunny days around
20 c with several days reaching 27 degrees. Food/wine here is great with amazing fish available my favourite being large fresh sea bass (not framed) for 6 euros a kilo and large prawns also 6 euros a kilo...There is a two hour day light difference with the shortest day light until nearly 6 p.m with amazing sunsets over the mountains...The olives are picked this time of year followed the next month with the oranges and lemons which is the start of spring with the almond trees in full blossom...Live music in the village and every Saturday after the large open air market at Calleta there is live music at the restaurant overlooking the marina...The extra winter evening daylight hours plus the good weather/food/wine has made this a great winter...There is a stunning 3 bedroom villa type apartment with pool/sun terrace available which I would love to book from next December..If anyone would like to spend next winter here it would be nice to here from you.. Regards Tony

Hi Tony, That sounds a great idea! I particularly like the choice of months as I tend to sunburn easily.......also not keen on ice and snow.

Hi, I am new to this sort of site as I have tried the dating ones and would rather not say. I am a Lady of 63 years of age, moved to the UK from South Africa to be closer to my children. I work full time, but would love a companion to go with me to see all the wonderul sites that London has and would also like to travel around. I am quite an outspoken person a bit quiet in the begining when I meet people. I really dont like travelling on my own so looking for a companion to do fun things with.
