Renewal of Blue Badge

I am trying to renew the Blue disabled badge that I have held for ten years. I am told that I need to provide documentation so that I have a chance for assessment. The G.P. will give this to me for £35, just let them know what I want them to say!! Is this fair? How do others deal with this, please?

It sounds a bit odd that your GP will give you documentation (for £35!) and wants you to tell him/her what to say. When I worked in a surgery all the doctors examined the patients requesting a Blue Badge and then provided the documentation for a small fee.
The following website should help you - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/blue-badge-can-i-get-one

No its not fair it should be free or a token charge, but they have you over a barrel.
Just remember this when the next election comes around Labour are determined to kill off the old and infirmed if you’re no longer of any use, you are bled of every last penny you have and then frozen to death in your own home.
