Hi there. Nice to meet you. Do you live near here? I am married but would love to join a social club but there doesn't seem to be anything round here,,,,,,,, Be nice to chat with someone sometimes!

Hi there. Wow - would love to see Niagara Falls. Unfortunately we have never travelled outside of Europe. We do a lot of coach trips now we are well into retirement and have been lucky enough to do most of the UK too. Have you ever been to the UK? There are some really lovely places here (and some not so lovely ones!). We are heading (amongst other places) to the Scottish Highlands this year - there are two coach trips - one is a wildlife trip and the other train journeys right across the country. Really looking forward to those. Do you travel at all?
Hoping to make some friends on here to meet in the chat room sometimes but guess the time difference between our countries would make that unlikely. Still, happy to mail you sometimes if you like.
Take care
Jan

Good morning PuzzlerJan. I'm in Brisbane Australia. I've just returned from South America where I did Peru, Bolivia and Chile .
My next travel contemplation is the north Pacific and the Philippines.
Since retiring from the medical industry I've done a few really interesting trips . Three of which to Indonesia, not Bali I may stress. Bali is the true meaning of paradise lost. Ghastly place now.
Hey please feel free to contact me anytime

Hi there. Wow, I thought we had travelled well.....lol. We do a lot of coach trips (easier now we are well retired!) and have been lucky enough to have done a lot of Europe and the UK. We now tend to stay a bit nearer home. We have booked two trips next year to the Scottish Highlands which is somewhere I've always wanted to go.
We have never been to Australia - too long a flight! Have you ever been to the UK? If you ever do, can probably give you some helpful tips!!
Take care
Jan

I was in the UK in the late 70s for the first time. It was in the era of Aussie expansion into Europe. I landed a job as a tour guide and basically visited most of the common countries. Because I spoke German I then migrated to specialisation of doing tours of the communist block. Now, that was an interesting time. After a number of years in Europe I transfered to the US and did tours all over.
To say I've been lucky is an understatement.
I doubt if I'll ever get back to Europe again. One main reason is the huge cost . The Australian dollar buys very little against the euro. Places in Asia are still affordable for my dwindling resources.
Keep on trucking
