I have always wondered what makes the pope holier than me.
How does he know the word of god (does he get texts from above).
I am a happy atheist that doesn't need/want religious mumbo jumbo cluttering up my life.
I have always felt religion is for people that cant handle the truth.
We live we die we are dust, there is no more, the 7 octillion atoms that make up our bodies go and make other things in the universe, a new sun, blade of grass or a droplet of water.
We don't hold a special place in the universe in fact we are so small we almost don't exist at all.
I have no objection to folk who need religion (guess we all need something) for me its science not any of the 4000 or so of religions.
Really don't mean to be offensive but I get annoyed at blind faith in stories made up by ignorant people sitting around camp fires thousands of years ago. an

I have always went to Church since I was a baby! I had Christian parents and most of my family are Christians too. It was a big part of my life. I was dedicated as a child, which is a prayer given by the Minister and parents asked to agree to bring up their child in the christian faith. I went to a Congregational Church and a Baptist Sunday School! I know the gospel well and when I was Nine I came to a personal relationship with Jesus through my mother praying with me the Sinners Prayer.
I have since had a continuing relationship with Jesus and he is my best friend and has brought me through so many situations in life I dread to think what would have happened if not a christian.
I am not perfect by any means as I am a work in progress but I strive to serve him as best I can and to show his love to others. I attend a small fellowship and 'Going to church' has really pointed me in the direction of becoming 'Born Again' as the Bible Says and one day I will meet my Saviour and sit at his feet or perhaps will be busy doing other things! He gives a peace no one can experience from this world.
Going to church for me to to hear God speaking through his servant , the minister or whoever is leading the particular service. That way I can learn more on how to improve my christian life.
