Nutribullet

I have just invested in a Nutribullet ... does anyone else use one? What are the best vegetables to blend ... have tried kale but find it a bit fibrous and quite a strong flavour. Does anyone add any natural oils or seeds? Do you blend with water or coconut water? Any tips would be great

I use a really good blender to make my smoothies. I buy packs of frozen fruit (mango, mixed summer fruits, etc) I use a scoop of each as a base & to chill the drink. Then I add any hard or soft fruits & veggies I have to hand. Avocado is good, beetroot & tomato add colour, cucumber, celery, spinach, kale, etc add fibre.
I sometimes add herbs from the garden, grated ginger, chai seeds.
I use coconut water, fruit juice and water.
As I have different ingredients around each time they are always different but very delicious.
Not too concerned about the fruit sugar, think it's balanced by the fibre from the whole fruit & veggies.
My husband & I have one as lunch a few days a week.

Yes, I bought one, a few years ago. Under a different product name but basically the same device. I very rarely use it now. I found it to be a very efficient coffee bean grinder or a scrambled egg blender.
It may get further use again someday.
I bought mine in Woolworth during their closing down sale.

I have used my everyday since I got it Goldfynche ... love it and it makes my smoothies so smooth! Just need to make sure I use more vegetables than fruit, as fruit has so much hidden sugar. It seems a great way to get your 5 a day first thing in the morning, and then the rest consumed in the day is a bonus! Maybe you should dust yours down and get blending again!?

Yes you need to watch out for the sugar in the fruit - very easy to go over the top. All the recent talk about the amount of sugar in fruit juice and smoothies has really put me off my juicer.

I think the sugar in fruit is ok. I eat 2 or 3 oranges a day, an apple and a banana plus any other fruit I fancy like grapes if we have them and think it makes you more healthy

My wife has one and makes amazing smoothies. I think the smoothies must be very good for you as we have fruit ones and also vegetable ones which also have beetroot which is absolutely delicious. I would be keen to seen if any Silversurfers have some interesting smoothies they make in Nutribullets
