Should the government take stronger measures to protect teenagers online through legislation?I am so glad that my children were in school pre-internet accessible phones. I think it is so scary that many parents have no idea what their children are consuming online. I have recently asked two friends who have adolescent children if they are aware of what and how their children communicate online and much to my surprise not only have they not seen Adolescence they are unsure what their children have access to. Both are concerned in changes in their son's behaviour when they have been online or have been gaming. I think parents need to get a grip and take back control in conjunction with governments and tech giants being more responsible for what is allowed to be accessed. I also think phones should be banned in schools, and discipline needs to be ramped up... I can't believe the total lack of respect that many children have for their teachers!ViewDate:

Are avocados on your weekly shopping list?I have to admit I buy avocados every week because I love them, and think they are a good source of health fat. Whilst I understand what Alan is saying, I am not sure I would stop buying them ... I think there are other ways that I contribute to help save the planet.ViewDate:

Have you cut out night driving because of dazzling headlights?I must say, driving at night now, especially if it's raining is quite a challenge when not only are you faced with bright headlights, but also when they shine in the rear view mirror. I prefer my husband to take the wheel at night... but not sure how much he enjoys it now, too.ViewDate:

Should drivers over 70 re-take their driving test?A few years ago an elderly man crashed into me - his car was extremely old and fragile and I don't think his reactions were quick enough and his braking mechanism effective enough to stop. I was driving a Landrover and was stationary at the time and he was not able to stop. As there were no witnesses it was concluded as a 50\50 fault on insurance, bit I still believe that the man in question was not fit enough to drive and at fault- he was in his late 80s. When I was a child, my grandmother came to collect me from school and she was in her late 70s - we approached a roundabout, and for some bizzare reason she started driving the wrong way around it - luckily no damage was done. It is a very tricky situation - some people are more capable than others despite their age - I do think there should be a mechanism in place to ensure you are fit to drive, especially at night with bright lights once over a certain age - maybe 70 is a good age for this.ViewDate:

Would James Norton get your vote to be the next James Bond?James Norton is one of my favourite actors, so it's a big YES from me. He has just been brilliant in Playing Nice... I have enjoyed all the roles he has played form his part in McMafia and especially his very nasty role in Happy Valley - a very versatile young man - he would make an excellent 007 :DViewDate:

Will you be sending Christmas cards this year?I am still undecided. Every year I think I won't and then I look at my list and crumble. I have just gone through and culled a few people from my list. A few of my friends have said 'please don't send me a card because I am not sending them this year', so they have gone off the list. I totally resent the cost of postage especially as we get post maybe twice a week atm. So I may reduce this year and just send to people I don't see very often, so they know I am thinking of them.ViewDate:

Do your pets get distressed by the sound of fireworks? One of my dogs gets incredibly anxious with fireworks even if they are in the distance. Last night they exploding far away and we could barely hear them but he could. He was barking and howling until they stopped, although he isn't phased at all by loud bangs on the TV. I think my older dog is hard of hearing now, as he didn't notice the distant ones, but I know next weekend when the local display is on they will both be very agitated. We have to stay in and try to calm them down ... I have grown to dread fireworks now!ViewDate:

Are parenting Apps and algorithms replacing mother's instinct? From my experience of being a grandma, I am very much aware of how much my daughters have used these apps. I have witnessed signs of tiredness in a baby such as eye rubbing because the app says it's not nap time! Constant logging of feeds, nappy changes and sleep mean that the mobile phone is always present and being viewed and checked and relied upon! I have even been asked to download the same app when I am babysitting. And don't get me started on White Noise! I compare notes with my friends who are also grandmas and we all feel the same. Babies are not algorithms... they are individuals... but what do we know? Our experience counts for nothing!ViewDate:

Is your decision to vote influenced by watching General Election TV debates?I personally don't enjoy watching these debates - there is a lot of shouting and talking over each other, and even if I did watch, it would not influence my vote. I didn't watch it last night, and I think I read the next one has even more politicians appearing so I won't be watching that one eitherViewDate:

Do you think money skills should be taught in school?Yes, I think children should be leaving education knowing how to manage money but also to be taught what it means to be a financially independent adult in their later life - I have always been a bit apprehensive when it comes to financial planning and I think that if it was introduced at a young age, the fear factor would be less likely.ViewDate:

Is there now too much information for expectant mothers to evaluate?Yes, I think that expectant mothers are totally overloaded with information, sometimes conflicting, it's no wonder they get stressed and anxious. One of my own daughters seemed more influenced by advice from Instagram rather than first hand knowledge from me! I think that mother's instinct is vital. I am not sure why so much seems to have changed in 30 years but apparently it has! In my day, we had one book and a mother to point us in the right direction!ViewDate:

Do you think XL Bully dogs should be banned?I know there are many people saying that the owners of these dogs are the cause of this issue - however, recently a young dog walker in Surrey was killed by her own dog 'An American Bully XL owned by a dog walker killed in Caterham at the start of the year has been put down, police have confirmed. The update comes as the force said it received a forensic veterinary report following the tragic death of 28-year-old Natasha Johnston.' Also, I live in a small village, and about 3 weeks ago, my friend's dog was savaged by a local dog owned by a resident in the village - not your typical stereotype Bully XL owner at all, and neither was the young girl in Caterham - I feel these dogs have a genetic disposition to be attack dogs in certain circumstances, much like my dog has a genetic disposition to chase deers and squirrels! I think these dogs should be muzzled when out in public immediately until further investigations have been done.ViewDate:

Shoplifting on the Rise: Should We Report It or Ignore It?I was quite shocked yesterday when I went into my local Boots shop yesterday to buy a lipstick - the entire sidewall where all the make-up is displayed was behind locked glass doors, so you are now no longer able to touch or select any products without calling a member of staff to open the doors and get the item for you! I have also seen security tags on cheese in a local Tesco - what a sad sign of the times :(ViewDate:

Do you support the new expansion of the ULEZ in London?I think this is a very unfair expansion - largely impacting those with less money - for example, a friend of mine will no longer be able to shop in Aldi as it is now in the Ulez and her car is not compliant - she can't afford to replace her car :( And how does it make sense that Heathrow is now in the new Ulez, but polluting aircraft aren't penalsied - think Sadiq Khan has made a huge mistake!ViewDate:

Should we encourage children to identify as cats and other animals?I have read about this in the paper this week with total disbelief. We seem to have now been forced into a situation where people in authority such as teachers face losing their job if they are deemed to be saying the wrong thing. Children can't be addressed as girls or boys in class and have to be addressed in a non-binary fashion incase they offend the minority. And now this! In what world is it ok to have a 16 year old pupil at school being accepted as and being addressed as a cat?? In my day we had to wear regulation school shoes, and there was a strict code of dress and conduct - we had to conform. Whatever next? Soldiers in the army identifying as lions?? We need to stop this nonsense right now! Let the grown ups make the rules - not the children!ViewDate:

Should we be worried about Artificial Intelligence?I am really worried about the impact that AI will have in the future and not too far away either - you only have to look at the Terminator movie and see what happens when machines become more intelligent than humans - their are so many evil men in the world that are power hungry I feel sure if it gets into the wrong hands we will be in danger - I saw a scientist on breakfast TV last week and he was saying that global nations need to work together to protect us - and he said 'look how many years it has taken for global nations to come together on climate change' - we are doomed!ViewDate:
