Sorry, we couldn't find any results!"
Others appear to have had similar problem - and assumed finally no-one else lives in Suffolk!
Valla had suggested we could be allocated via country rather than a local town...in hope would help.

I’m a new member. I live in Inverness and am not working. I’m hoping to find new friends to chat to.
I’m 65, live with a slightly bonkers collie (aren’t all collies slightly bonkers?) and have a “home-made” campervan which I should make more use of, especially as I am lucky enough to live in a beautiful part of the world.
This looks like a really good site for developing new interests; I’m hopeful that one day I’ll be able to finish a watercolour that won’t end up in the bin!

Thank you for any help.
Chat soon I hope and meanwhile, take care''Sara x ,
I’m sorry it’s taken me a wee while to reply, but your message arrived by email. I don’t check my emails daily & was surprised to “see you” there. A very nice surprise, though. I didn’t realise that these messages used our email addresses.
You say that you grew up in Perthshire; where are you now? Years ago a friend of mine lived in a tiny hamlet near to Loch Tay (could see it from her kitchen window). The nearest town was Aberfeldy. As a 19/20year old, it seemed to me like she was in a living in the middle of nowhere, having no “proper town” nearby, with nightclubs & lots of people. But that was my young townie self. Even then, though, I could appreciate how beautiful the landscape was. I’m originally from the West Midlands, so I was more familiar with pollution than pollen!
Over the summer I’ve been doing more with glass and have forgone the watercolour. I’m determined to get back to it. There’s a wee glass session on for a couple of hours each week, but it coincides with the “OpenArts” times. Typical! Nothing for years then both together - like buses, eh? But great that there’s choice. So for now I’m aiming to be another Tiffany or even Lalique, then in a couple of weeks...ha! I managed to make a very crude boat from 3 triangles of coloured glass. I’m wanting sun-catchers to put up at the window. A juvenile woodpecker flew into the bedroom window and stunned itself. I got the SSPCA out to see it - it sat for an hour. It was visibly uninjured but I don’t want birds hurting themselves if I can do something to avoid it.
Hope to chat to you soon; it was very nice to get your message.
Best wishes,
Anne

Hope you are not too bored out there in Kentucky. I think I’m like you - lead a boring life but I’m not bored (or boring). Do you work, or are you retired? I am retired, and didn’t realise that I actually liked going to work, until it was too late.
I imagine life for you is quite different from mine. I am trying to rebuild my social life after covid, and a nice chat on line would be a pleasant change.
Anyway, I would be pleased to hear from you if you care to reply.
Valerie

I am also from the West Coast. Where are you at? I am in Oregon. I hadn't noticed my first few times in here that it is mainly a UK site, so I was surprised to see someone here from my neck of the woods. 🙂
The Midwest ie Indiana
Yes, I noticed the same thing, that this is a mostly UK site. Thanks for replying!
We live in a few of the most beautiful places on earth. Have a great day!
How's your day going? Mine is going pretty good so far. It's been awful hot, but it looks like we may get to have a little break from that today. What do you like to do there in Indiana?
Yes, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Two of the most beautiful places to live.
So, you have 2 dogs? What kinds of dogs are they? I have a "granddog", lol. Her name is Ruby and she is an Australian Shepherd. She is mostly white with brownish and beige spots, and has one blue eye and one brown. She's a pretty good dog. Sounds like a very fierce guard dog, but pretty much "all bark and no bite".
Thank you for responding back. If you would like to chat, drop a line. Have a great day.
Rough day for me today but it's ok I'm into nature, animals, birds especially cardinals. But I don't have a dog ie not allowed to have one. It's lonely being alone nor a best friend companion
I have one brother he owned a Sheltie wonderful but has been gone seven years. It would be nice to continue talking
Mason
Sorry to hear that you had a rough day. Hopefully it is resolved now.
I also love animals. I always have. I have had dozens of cats in my life time, several dogs, birds, hamsters, and a raccoon named Chainsaw.. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.
I am having a little problem navigating this site. I was just wondering if you can see my response to you? Hopefully you do. Have a great day!
Animals or pets are dependable and loyal ...never abandoning are kind. Love as they know how understand.
I'm so glad you saw my response. It is confusing in here. lol It sounds like you have some nice dogs there. Aren't labradors and retrievers generally gentle dogs? Usually good with kids too.
I wanted to ask you if you live anywhere near Electric City? My sister lived up there and I made a few trips there to see her..and oh my goodness! It's so gorgeous. Roads cut through rock, and just the scenery from the drive was so pretty. It was a long drive, but so nice that you didn't really care. lol
If you would prefer, we could exchange email addresses. It would be easier than this I think. lol
Take care and have a good night.
