What did you do?

What did you do?

In years to come when young ones ask
During the bad virus what did you,
I’ll tell them I sat in comfort
For a month or two.

While others put their lives at risk
I sat at home in a comfy chair,
While hero’s fought a battle
I just stayed right there.

People died in their thousands
I only saw it on the internet,
I didn’t venture outside my home
Throughout the worldwide threat.

No, I just stayed in comfort,
And slept safely in my bed,
Along with millions of other people
Who were trying to stop the spread.

I'm past my sell by date but still going strong, I love reading, gardening, writing and sketching, I live in a very small fishing town and love it. I was born in Coventry but city life was never for me, I have lived in lots of different places, but I am finally settled here (much to the relief of my husband)
