I'm past my sell by date but still going strong, I love reading, gardening, writing and sketching, I live in a very small fishing town and love it. I was born in Coventry but city life was never for me, I have lived in lots of different places, but I am finally settled here (much to the relief of my husband) -

Should the Prime Minister back down from proposals to cut the Winter Fuel Allowance?why penalize pensioner's? we have worked all our lives in the hope that our state pension would sustain in our old age, we couldn't all afford to pay into a private pension so we live on the state pension which isn't a lot. I don't drink, smoke or go on holidays so I am managing at the moment with the help of heating allowance, without it like many others in the same boat as me I will struggle to keep my home warm this winter. If pensioners start turning off their heating it could end up affecting their health so more will end up relying on the NHS when their health suffers!!!!!ViewDate:
