Welcome to the world

Welcome to the world

From the moment you were born and each day after
Our life has been filled with love and laughter
Ten tiny fingers, ten tiny toes
A perfect face and a cute button nose
We can’t wait to celebrate all those firsts
First smile, first tooth even first burp
You fill our hearts with so much love

You light up the room like an angel from above
Precious child we want you to know
Our love for you will grow and grow
Like the flowers that bloom in the spring
You are the one who makes our hearts sing!

I'm a 56 year old Mum of 2. I enjoy writing poetry about my first hand experiences. My parents both passed away within 5 weeks of each other and with the help of a dear friend John I was able to visit my Dad's family home in Ireland. I have a sausage dog aged 6 who is partly disabled after being paralysed 18 months ago. Thankfully he can now wobbly walk after a long period of rehabilitation. I also enjoy gardening and going to concerts and eating out with friends and family.
