Three Shakespearean Limericks

Three Shakespearean Limericks

Beatrice and Benedick duel
With words – which can be just as cruel
As swords. Yet their hearts
Seem to relish the smarts:
Love’s fools feed the flames with such fuel.

Shylock, a loan shark of Venice, is
Fed up of the merchant being venomous.
He sets a cruel trap
But it gets HIM the rap
For demanding monies with menaces.

Macbeth and his ambitious Lady
Dream the stars are aligned for their heyday
But soothsayers mystify
Evil deeds multiply
The bloodbath will drive them both crazy.

Silver divorcee with two adult children. I like nature and the arts. Too serious for my own good, tho not without a sense of humour ;-)
