Should Mr Potato Head become gender neutral?Can't we dispense with such formality? Even in business nowadays, 'dear sir or Madame' is seldom used. In fact businesses are more often at pains to use my first name. I can't really think of a context where 'first name-last name' would be inadequate.ViewDate:

Something or NothingIt happened to chime with a thought I had a day or two ago. I went for a stroll and almost immediately, it seemed, there was light rain. After a while it began to clear. Then it just got gradually heavier and heavier. I found myself thinking that it was toying with me .. whilst also recognising that as absurd.
