Pros and cons of getting older…
I don’t need to shave my armpits,
Or suffer the pain of a Brazilian wax,
The only hairs I need to remove,
Are from my chin and that’s a fact.
I no longer need an alarm clock,
To get me up at the crack of dawn,
I can have tea and toast in bed,
and stay in my PJ’s until mid morn.
No more work, doing as I’m told,
I can do what I want and when I like,
Get a hobby, go out with friends,
Go for walk, a swim or ride a bike.
I can say and do, just what I please,
People excuse me because I’m older,
In youth I was quieter and very shy,
In age I’ve grown confident and bolder.
Yes, I have aches and pains,
Like most people my age,
But with age comes wisdom,
and I’ve become quite a sage.
