The NHS is Under Stress

The NHS is Under Stress

Take care, they say-mind how you go.
And that is what I’m doing – So…
Resolution for 23,
IS DON’T END UP IN A & E.

Don’t want a lurgi from something I ate,
So check my food not out of date.
OK, I’m old – I’m 93,
But do not welcome A & E.

Icy roads won’t tempt me out.
Falling’s not what I’m about.
My basic health is very good,
Just have to watch it with the food.

Grandchild’s sneeze – old wife confirms
A cut raw onion deflects the germs.
Run for a bus –  it would be no wonder it
Would mow me down and I’d end up under it.

Stock up on Paracetamol
And tummy pills and Voltarol
You know best what meds you take,
Get them in, for goodness sake!

What other hazards might there be?
Fire? Not my Christmas tree,
Its little lights are LED.
Don’t use candles, cook with care,

Nothing much alarming there.
BUT be conscious and AWARE
Take a little extra care,
If like me you’d like to be anywhere but A&E.
