The Inspiration for my Poetry
One question that I have been asked many many times over the years is…’where do you find your inspiration’? There are many possible answers. I could say I found it by reading poetry by the great masters such as Blake, Tennyson, and Shakespeare, but that would not be true. I could say writing was 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration, but that would also not be true.
The real answer is simple. I find my inspiration in the one thing that we all share. I get my inspiration from LIFE itself.
In any one day of our lives we are all faced with a whole myriad of feelings and emotions such as happiness and sadness, ecstasy to depression, joy to sorrow, and not to forget anger, fear, desire and the many other emotions that we live and face in life each day of our life.In my poetry, you will come across these and many more, often conflicting emotions. My poetry is about how I see and feel about life. It’s as simple as that. I wonder if people see the same thing I see and feel the emotions that I feel. The answer I would assume is a resounding yes. The only difference, is I put mine into words.

An artist paints a picture of what he sees and quite often what he feels as he is painting.A poet – paints pictures with words. I hope you enjoy my ‘words and thoughts’, and greatly value your comments.
