Remember….

Remember…

Remember the fallen, remember the dead,
Never let their images go from your head.
Remember the bravery of them all,
Remember how they fought for us all.

Remember who they were and the price they paid,
Remember them, as each wreath of poppies is laid.
Remember just how much they gave,
Remember each one who was so brave.

They may have been, your sister or brother,
They may have been your father or mother.
They may have been your daughter or son,
They may have been a cousin or a good pal.

War is so pointless, I’m sure you’ll agree,
We should love one another and all be free.
Free to worship whatever God we choose,
Free to live and work wherever we choose.

Live in peace is what we all need,
Not live in anger, live in greed.
One day this time might come,
When we unite and live as one.
