One rainy day
One rainy day ….
Woke up this morning to a rainy day,
No let up at all, so indoors I must stay.
A good spring clean is what I need,
Get everything sparkling, oh yes indeed.
Vacuum and clean all my floors,
Wipe the paintwork on the doors.
Change bed linen, set washer to go,
Time for a cuppa, back in half a mo.
Feather pillows could do with a wash,
Into the washer, go round, splish splosh.
Put them in tumble dryer to dry them fast,
Time for lunch while they have a hot blast.
Garage is where we keep our tumble dryer,
Rain coming down, hubby runs out to dryer.
I hear him shout, I hear him swear,
“There’s b….. feathers everywhere.”
Seams had come undone, feathers flew out,
No wonder he yelled and started to shout!
Pillows go into the bin, no use for them again,
Now how to get rid of feathers, oh what a pain.
Get Hoover out, to hoover them all up,
Now Hoovers clogged I think I’ll give up.
Soon be time for a large G & T,
But for now a nice cup of tea.
