My Fitbit Watch
My Fitbit Watch
I’ve just bought a Fitbit watch,
It tells me ‘How I am’.
Don’t need to see a doctor now,
My watch has me in hand.
No need for conversations now,
Our watches do it for us.
I used to say “How are you Mate?”
But now we stand and look and wait.
Our Fitbit watches click and whirr
Bluetoothing all our hopes and fears.
When we get close,
We’re diagnosed
By Bluetooth technicalities
And emailed off to China
For their use to sell us trivialities.
Tick Tock was the sound it made
Many years ago,
Now TikTok is the place it goes
With everything we know.
Who we met,
What we said.
Where we went on holiday
What we sought,
What we bought.
We gave that all away,
What do they do with all that crap,
I really have no notion,
But counting all my daily steps
Keeps me in daily motion.
