My angel who wasn’t to be

My angel who wasn’t to be

A part of my heart has been torn away
It was the part that I’d given to you
You were my unborn grandchild
There was nothing I could do

I can’t make everything better as I could when she was a kid
A kiss it better or funny face won’t work this time
Oh how I wish that it did
I’m hurting for them I’m grieving for you

But my pain is as nothing to theirs
All we can do is just be here and wait and show them just how much we care
This wasn’t the right time for you and we just don’t know why
Why my tiny angel why did you have to die?

One day there’ll be a time for you my precious precious one
A day for your eyes to see this world and amaze at each new day to come.
