Looking For Santa
Looking For Santa
The tree is all covered in tinsel,
and the prezzies are piled underneath,
and me Granny’s been moaning forever
cos the dog has chewed her false teeth.
Me mam is still stuffing the turkey;
there’s stuffing all over her sleeve.
But me, I’m looking for Santa
cos at last it’s arrived – Christmas Eve!
I’ve only asked for a train set,
a cricket bat and a new ball.
But me mam says ‘Get out of me curtains
or he won’t be coming at all’.
Me dad’s got the Radio Times;
‘to see what there is on the box’.
He says he don’t know what the fuss is
cos all he will get is more socks.
But I’m still looking for Santa;
though I don’t think he’s coming to me
cos why would he come down our chimney,
when the prezzies are under the tree?
