Litter….

Litter pick up…..

Volunteers keeping our district clean,
Generous with their time, never mean.
Picking up rubbish, that’s been thrown down,
It looks so gross and untidy, we all wear a frown,

Why do some people throw their litter on the floor,
Wonder what they do behind their own front door?
If you can’t find a bin, then take it home,
Thoughtful people do, you won’t be alone.

Let’s educate the kids, to do the right thing,
Not throw things down, like a cheap bit of bling.
Be proud of your town, and the countryside,
Let’s keep this going, let’s have some pride.

No more rubbish to spoil our view,
Keep things clean and looking new.
No plastic left around to hurt our wildlife,
Pick it up, whether you’re kids, husband or wife.

Together we can build for a better future
Forget bad habits from the uncaring past.
Our planet is the only one we’ve got.
Protect it, look after it, let’s all care a lot!
