Is Tomorrow Yesterday or Today

Yesterday I remembered what I’ d forgotten the day before
But today I’m just not sure about my memory anymore
There are things I do remember and things that I forget
But I haven’t quite worked out the order of it yet

Perhaps it’s not my memory that’s causing my downfall
It could be that the problem lies with my powers of recall
Information does get stored away, of that there is no doubt
But when I need to remember it, I just can’t get it out

I’m not sure where I store the stuff that I may or may not need
Do I put it in the short term bank to retrieve it back at speed
Or does it just automatically get stored where there’s a space
If my long and short term banks are full, does it just disappear without trace.

It’s not the end of the world I guess, if eventually it all comes back
I’ll just have to get used to it and cut myself some slack
It sadly is a fact of life that the grey cells do shrink and fade
And I’m not losing my memory, the truth is it’s just delayed.
