Hot Flushes

I make like a starfish
When I’m suddenly boiling hot
Spread-eagling all my limbs
Like a bird that’s just been shot 😵

Some say that the temperature
Rises up from their feet
But mine’s like an explosion
BOOM! And I overheat 🥵

It doesn’t matter where I am
What I do or what I wear
When I get a hot flush
I want to strip myself bare 😶

When I’m in my own home
Stripping off is allowed
But when at the supermarket
It seems to draw a crowd 😳

It doesn’t happen very much
But more often over night
So, if I’m looking knackered
You can understand my plight🥱

The moral of this story is
If you see a woman stripping off
Consider just how old she is
Before you hiss & scoff 😞

She might be a bit crazy
Or just a menopausal wreck
So be kind & keep your distance
Or you might get it in the neck 👊🏻
