Halloween

Halloween

The veil is thin on this Halloween night
Hands reaching through time in the eerie light
Shadowy figures flying through the sky
Cackling witches on broomsticks fly high

Black cats prowling with glowing green eyes
For Witches and Warlocks familiars and spies
Magic spells will be cast all over the land
Chanting and stirring round the cauldron they stand

Witches dancing in circles in the moonlit woods
Others stand silent in their long cloaks and hoods
Gatherings take place all over the world
A special time for spirits to swirl

Children dressed up as ghouls and ghosts
Knocking on doors, trick or treating their hosts
Pumpkins carved with sinister grins
A flickering candle for effect placed within

Lots of fun on this All Hallows night
Games and tricks, laughter and fright
Halloween has been celebrated since ancient times
Stepping out of summer into winter’s cold climes.
