Go to your room
Go to your room
Go to your room, I was told,
As a child it felt very cold!
At first the guilt for what was done,
Staring out of the window was no fun.
Now many years have passed,
I find myself home, where I last –
Had feelings of being alone.
Now my ‘room’ has grown to four,
Life has become such a ‘bore’,
To wake and feel a pounding chest,
As I sit on my bed, put to the test!
Of what is going on outside –
For a blanket of virus, has spread around,
You can not see it on the ground…
It’s jumping from one and all,
So you have to hide behind walls!
Once you are out and free,
It knocks you to your knees.
But now we will fight back –
With a vaccine to attack…
To once again feel safe,
And be able to leave this place.
