Should the Prime Minister back down from proposals to cut the Winter Fuel Allowance?I do feel this government is trying to set an easy target to raise money from pensioners! Where will it end? I now hear they are looking into raising the pension age again, which will cause an uproar. Most of us around 65 are looking forward to receiving our earned pensions in one year! We need to take a stand and from the many I have spoken to - 'We will..' We will not be left cold or in poverty as most people wait for pensions. I agree some of us are helped with a winter fuel allowance but I feel sorry for those right on the borderline not those with huge private pensions and working in the government!ViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsAs you know I usually post sweet poems, but, are we really winning in this Country - when you have a friend wearing her coat indoors with the heating off! This is because the 'HEATING' bill is so high. These energy providers are playing god. The government needs to do something about all these high estimated bills too. Come on help get this under control, especially for the elderly that have lived and worked in Great Britain all their lives.ViewDate:

Should sweets and chocolate carry graphic health warnings similar to cigarettes?This is silly a few squares of chocolate every now and again should not carry a health warning. It is everything in moderation. We managed to eat a bar or two in the 60s and 70s but it was counteracted by the amount we walked.ViewDate:

Are you in favour of editing old programmes to fit in with today's society?I think there is far too much violence and police drama on our televisions now. We all need a little more British humour. I still laugh at Our Family and go back to Keeping Up Appearances and One Foot in the Grave, they are still very funny today. Bring back some comedies to make us laugh, please.ViewDate:

Do you prefer your chocolate from the fridge or at room temperature?Chocolate at room temperature is best. I have tried putting it in the fridge, but I find it too cold against my teeth. Mind you not melted!ViewDate:

Are you able to get a face-to-face doctor appointment?I have heard of a lot of older people trying to take photographs of their swelling or problems before a Doctor will even speak to them about it on the phone, yes they are worried and this can not be right now with masks being worn in the surgery if you were to attend?ViewDate:
