Festive greetings
Diwali, Hannukah, and Eidh,
Keep their High Days up to speed.
Yuletide greetings you will hear,
And Chinese celebrate their New Year.
I don’t know any useful reason
I should care for “Festive Season.”
The phrase just doesn’t cut the mustard;
Even with ice cream and custard;
No matter how much stirred and shaken
Simply won’t bring home the bacon.
So decorate your “festive” tree-
Happy Christmas does for me.
