Dragon
Dragon
The little Dragon blew so hard
But all he blew was a puff of smoke
He tried to be fierce and flap his wings
But the people just smiled and said he was cute.
He dragged himself home to mum and dad
They were belching out flames and filing their teeth
He sat down in his nest and shed a tear
He would never be fierce like them.
The Dragon grew up and people were scared
But all he wanted was to be their friend.
So to the village he went to say hello
But they all ran in and shut their doors.
A little boy peeked out and said I’ll be your friend
As long as you don’t burn me up.
We can’t light our fires but maybe you could
Then we could cook our food.
Well the Dragon puffed up with pride
Of course I can do that, just show me where.
After that day the people cheered and clapped
And the Dragon had a job, can you guess.
An official fire lighter!
