Dawn at Sea
Dawn at Sea
Mother of Pearl yacht
In a Mother of Pearl sea;
Dawn is breaking astern of us,
See how the shadows flee,
Light on tranquillity.
Calmest of calm seas,
Misty with morning dew,
Ruffled by dawn breeze,
Violet, Rose and Blue,
Washed with a pearly hue.
Sleep, little yacht, sleep;
Under the dawn spell,
One man awake will sail you,
Safe in your oyster shell;
Knowing that all’s well.
