Broken

Broken

They loved till continents divided
Divided their hearts and their souls
She found another who made her feel whole
He loved again but it wasn’t enough
Though she gave her heart, her soul her trust
Poles apart, one man who gave them his soul
Now he needs to make himself whole
Has to pick up the pieces of his broken heart
Find someone in the middle of those poles apart
A love he can collide with like the stars
Someone who will soothe his aching scars

I'm a 56 year old Mum of 2. I enjoy writing poetry about my first hand experiences. My parents both passed away within 5 weeks of each other and with the help of a dear friend John I was able to visit my Dad's family home in Ireland. I have a sausage dog aged 6 who is partly disabled after being paralysed 18 months ago. Thankfully he can now wobbly walk after a long period of rehabilitation. I also enjoy gardening and going to concerts and eating out with friends and family.
