Labour of Love

Labour of Love

Rosy-faced it’s that time for skipping…
Skipping from one task to another, no kipping!
I am delighted Christmas is in three weeks,
but now my brandy pudding has started to reek!

Half of the things on my list,
I have gone through as I blitz.
Some things were in the years gone by,
I have lost decorations as they store up high.

It is all rather fraught,
as I need to find all I have brought,
I write so many Christmas cards,
each year I say cut down but this is very hard.

So as a labour of love, I carry on,
I want the perfect fairy up in the air,
but when we are all together does anyone ‘really,’ care?
