The Wagging Tail
We all thrive on being greeted by a wagging tail,
it has to be said this does enthrall.
Brits love their furry friends,
to be our companions and the love resends.
They can demand and bark,
uniquely trying to make their mark.
Bassets, Beagles and Bloodhounds howl,
Yorkies and Chihuahuas will yap, and others playfully growl.
German Shepherds bark but they all want to be near us every day
and to say ‘Hello’ in their own doggy way.
No jumping up at you with a swishing brush,
for cuddles in a big rush!
It saddens your heart when they are gone,
The love for our pets goes on and on.
