Cruise Buddy
Watch this postHi Is there anyone there looking to cruise be it the first time like me or otherwise.
I would like to go on a cruise to the Caribbean or Hawaii. Hope to share cabin costs. I am female 67 and active. Like an adventure hope to meet like-minded people. I don't smoke, would prefer outside cabin, I have heard that the entertainment and facilities on some cruise ships are excellent.
Would be good to hear of some experiences others have had to know how to get the best of any trip.
Look forward to hearing from anyone with a comment.

I’m not solo in life, but I am when it comes to cruising. My partner says that it’s just not for him. Because of this, I’m searching for a female traveling companion for future cruises (at least one if not two per year).
However, I live in Houston (Texas) .. And, I think this could be a good thing? If we decided after conversations and video chats that we could be a good fit, this could offer us both the opportunity to visit one anothers city/country and travel more easily from multiple ports.
I’ve been on three cruises so far, with Disney and Norwegian. I’m scheduled for my next cruise on February 26th of 2023 .. (https://www.vacationstogo.com/fastdeal.cfm?deal=44819). I ended up booking 3 balcony staterooms for 6 of us girls, and we are excited!
Now I’m looking at a couple more possibilities .. Panama Canal #44829 and
Ireland #13818. I want to see the world!
I prefer to travel during the shoulder seasons for value $ and fewer passengers.
A bit about me (my intro) .. I’m sixty-one, in good to excellent health, adventurous, and it bears repeating .. I want to see the world! A few of my interests are photography, dancing, road trips, animals of all kinds, wine, and yummy foods. I’m an ambivert, and a little bit of a nerd.

I went on a 5-day taster cruise with Saga, just to Holland and Belgium. It was great and, for older people, the best part is that you have a chauffeur service to and from your embarkation port.
Unfortunately the female friend I went with is unable to go this year (we’ve been on loads of holidays together before), so I am a bit lost. We always share a room as this is so much cheaper, and have always got along fine.
I was interested to hear the comments from ImJerry, as I didn’t know such a thing existed as a cruise companion matching service. I might give this a go.
I am 75, but don’t look it, also female, and also love an adventure.
Look forward to hearing from you

person that you would be looking for as a buddy on your cruise. I have
never been on a cruise and never thought that I would want to, but as I
live in Southampton, and see cruise liners nearly every day from Mayflower
park, I have often wondered what it would be like on one of these floating
blocks of flats with so many other people on there, of course I know many
people who have been on one and swear that they have had a great time,
one couple I know usually go on two a year. My sister and brother in law
are going on a cruise around Canada and Alaska in August this year and
I am dog sitting for them whilst they are away. I am more of a land lubber
I fear, and am off to sunny Cape Town in October, so would not be able to
go on a cruise until next year anyway, still I hope that you are lucky enough
to find a suitable travel buddy, I have seen on this site many requests for
the same thing you would like, so good luck, best wishes, Terry.
Thank you for your kind thoughts, I had hoped to persuade a friend of mine to go but she has a family wedding this year and I am impatient, Time waits for no one and following the last two years where we have had all hopes of travel quashed, I am keen to get on with it, I have looked at Alaska as well as I like the thought whale watching. You. Can also watch sea life in Monterey which is somewhere else on my bucket list.
Hope you enjoy Cape Town.
wanted to give you some encouragement in searching for an ideal
travel companion. I know that I have seen several people searching
for a cruise buddy on this site before, so you never know what may
turn up. I do know how you feel about being inpatient, like you I have
waited the last 3 years to get away again. I bought a new passport
in January 2019 so that I could go off to South Africa again, and we
all know what happened next. I must admit that I have never thought
about going on a cruise, but my sister enjoys them, and as I said, I am dog sitting for them in Basingstoke whilst they are on their next
one. I think that I may enjoy the various countries that the ships go to,
as have always been a traveler ( 42 countries and counting ) though
I must admit that for the last 20 years my travels mostly consist of
East and Southern Africa, and so far have been lucky enough to have
visited 17 countries on that continent. Well better not waffle on too
much, as I will start to sound boring, so will just wish you luck in your
search for a buddy, If you wish to continue chatting to me, I am here,
and would be pleased to hear from you, all best wishes, Terry.

Thank you for your comment, which cruise company did you enjoy? I just want to experience something different while active enough to enjoy it. Visited a few places in the Caribbean already and just love the music and beeches.
Would love to hear about the companies you recommend.
