Sorry I’m Offline
Sorry I’m Offline
Although the Internet is thriving, E-mails simply aren’t arriving,
This has put me out of whack, as they’re what keep my life on track.
Without them, where I ought to be today is total mystery.
I was without two days or more, so got my son to check the score.
He was successful in the end, and got my system on the mend.
So through my virtual letterbox, with beeps instead of Postman’s knocks,
Here comes the mail, and now I know where and when I have to go.
Tuesday’s Art, and Wednesday’s Song; time and place, I can’t go wrong.
Shan’t miss that talk at U3A; and Thursday’s Farmer’s Market Day.
But what are these? Unwelcome scam—think I’m more stupid than I am.
“Dear Customer” (don’t know my name? and think I cannot spot your game?)
“To claim your Tax Rebate—“ (HO HO) “Kindly click the link below,
Your details protocol requires, but hurry ere the link expires.”
The second told me I had spent more than a hundred quid on scent;
But perfume does not ring my bell, preferring Nature to Chanel.
“If you deny the sale that day, click the link and we’ll repay.”
I sent the scams to Action Fraud and then deleted, Thank the Lord.
