The Demon Drink….
The Demon Drink…..
Drink can lift you up, drink can knock you down,
Drink can make you laugh, or act like a clown.
After a couple of drinks you’ll feel alright,
A few too many you’ll be looking for a fight.
Drink can make you talk, joke or sing,
Drink can make you cry about anything.
Drink can make you feel good or bad,
Drink can make you happy or sad.
You’ll stagger home, crawl into bed,
Wake next day, with a thumping head.
A raging thirst all the next day,
“Never again” I hear you say.
“I’ll drink water, keep myself clean,
No more drink, that makes me mean,
I will stay sober and be upright”
Till it happens again another night.
