Sleep wonderful sleep…
Think I’ve kicked insomnia onto its head,
No more lying awake when I go to bed.
The answer was simple, I’ve found a way,
For perfect sleep at the end of the day.
I put away my IPad at 9 0′ clock,
Watch TV or read a good book.
This sends me sleepy, doesn’t keep me awake,
Proper restful sleep, not the kind that’s a fake.
No more lying awake until two, three or four,
No more letting the games come to the fore.
No more dreams playing scrabble in my head,
Just good sound sleep for eight hours instead.
The games were keeping my mind raring to go,
When my body was saying slow down, go slow.
I won’t be talking and exchanging chit chat,
I will be settling down for a good nights nap.
