April 2018

April 2018…..

April arrives with a promise of Spring,
Wonder what our weather will bring.
Will we have sunshine, will we have showers,
Will we see butterflies on the lovely flowers.

Will it be cold, cold enough for snow,
Will the trains stop, or just run slow.
Will we see gritters out by the score,
Will we have sleet or much more?

Will we get lucky and have warm sun,
Will we get out and have some fun.
Will Dogs be running in their favourite park,
Will they be playful and have a happy bark.

Will we feel the need to go to the sea,
A hot dog for him, an ice cream for me.
Will we paddle or swim in the sea,
Just think how great that would be.

Lots hope this April is warm and kind,
Our childhood Aprils come to mind.
Lighter clothes, but still need a Mac.
The rain hasn’t gone, it will be back!
