Dream
A Dream
An eagle, wings spread flys high above
It soars over sunlit lakes and
Mountains high.
Its cry echoes
Forrests below deep and dark.
I stand alone looking, watching.
A breeze flutters the grass.
Soft and warm beneath bare feet.
The eagle swoops silently down
It catches its prey in a graceful
Dance of death.
I look around
The earth still spins, the sun still shines
Death is but a moment in life.
