I’m Good To Go
I’m Good To Go
My case is packed and bulging, nighty and slippers are all in
Got simple soap and a flannel and Nivea Soft cream for my skin
Brand new M&S knickers, moist wipes and deodorant spray
I’ve got all the things you’d ever need when going on holiday
I’ve arranged my accommodation, a spacious room, a nice high bed
With plenty of plumped up pillows where I can rest my weary head
I’ll have special personal service to cater for my every need
I’ve got my iPod and my iPad, and a best seller paperback to read
I can take some gentle exercise and wonder here and there
I shall please myself and choose whatever clothes I want to wear
I’ll stare across the bay and watch as people come and go
I can exchange a good morning greeting or maybe just a brief hello
There’ll be food and drink aplenty, much to tempt appetite
I can choose lots of healthy options, morning, noon and night
It all just sounds like heaven, as I’m sure you will agree
But I’m not heading for the Med, oh no, that’s not the place for me
My booking was made months ago, but time flies, it goes so quick
And now I’m feeling apprehensive, to be honest, I feel sick
The moment is upon me, and I’m consumed with anxiety
As I head off to the hospital to have a much wanted replacement knee
