Older grandchildren who never say Thank Your for Christmas or Birthday chequesSome members of my family never ever acknowledge or even thank me for gifts. I have learned that all my disappointment in them stems from my own expectations that they posess the same levels of gratitude that I have. Gratitude is a universal law and much is written about the benefits of being grateful. Sad to say, I have stopped sending my unacknowledged gifts.ViewDate:

So what's yours?Depending on the mood I am in, I love all music. Today I am listening to a blast from the past and jiving around the kitchen. https://youtu.be/rinz9Avvq6A?feature=shared - The Chiffons, "He's so fine." https://youtu.be/nzS6DFlcKW4?feature=shared - Best Doo Wop songs of all time https://youtu.be/JD25SnxZguQ?feature=shared - Beverly Sisters - Sisters https://youtu.be/_B9-L6gKh5Y?feature=shared - Andrew sistersViewDate:

This is what ‘forever chemicals’ in food might be doing to your bodyLatest Frankenfood invention being introduced by the brilliant Mr Bill Gates, is Apeel, a coating on products that cannot be washed off. Not sure if it is allowed in United Kingdom or not. Look out for extra shiny apples and cucumbers without plastic wrapping.ViewDate:

King Charles unveils first completed official portrait of himself - do you like it?Bizarre! Good likeness of King Charles, but ruined by overapplication of red paint. Jonathan Yeo's portrait of Queen Camilla was very good, so why the overuse of red for King Charles?ViewDate:

I don't want a Smart phoneI suppose it's like King Canute trying to stop the sea from reaching his throne. Trying to stop the incoming tide of smart everything is as impossible. Much as I resent being forced to accept technology, it is unfortunately an evolutionary step which we will all have to adapt to or be consigned to a nomansland where we are unable to access the simplest of things like banking. My landline phone will be switched off soon and I will be forced to buy a new phone, take a package of some sort and join the rest of the google-eyed race.ViewDate:

Boom RadioYes I listen to Boom Radio, really great music from "our" days. I have a DAB radio and discovered the station by accident, absolutely love it. I heard this and can't stop playing it. "Rockin' Good Way." Bonnie Tyler and Shakin' Stevens. https://youtu.be/vBwfCB5OYvU?feature=sharedViewDate:

The invasion of the duvet: the ’10-second bed’Glad they invented duvets. Duvets are lovely and cosy. The bugbear is changing the covers, quite a Herculean task. Where are the scientists who will invent a robotic duvet cover changer?ViewDate:

Do you eat in bed?I don't need an excuse to eat in bed, it is a celebration for me. I surround myself with delicious snacks and enjoy a good movie. If by chance my bed is full of crumbs, no worries, it helps exfoliate while I sleep resulting in baby pink skin in the morning. -
