iPhone 5 … time for an upgrade?
The latest craze for phones has just arrived the iPhone 5. People camped out in London and across the USA to be the first to have one of the new devices.
So whats all the fuss about? Well the new iPhone 5 is a great looking gadget unlike many of its rivals it has actually got slimmer and taller. The phone is half an inch taller than the iPhone 4S so that an extra line of apps (applications) can be inserted on its screen. It is also 18% thinner than the 4S and 20% lighter as well with a weight of only 112grams. It looks fantastic and has a really quality feel to it with an anodised aluminium rear panel and sides that are beautifully curved. Apple always design their products with amazing attention to detail and as it features on their website “ crystalline diamond is used to cut the chamfers of iPhone 5″. This process gives the beveled edge its beautiful sheen. The camera has a lens of sapphire crystal which is second only to diamonds in hardness so that its much less likly to scratch. The 4S phone already has an amazing camera; I take hundreds of photos with it and they are easily as good as sophisticated cameras.
One of the new features the iPhone 5 boasts is satalite navigation which will take users through most major cities and by tilting the phone you are able to see a map in 3D which is incredible. The main Satilite navigation companies must be worried as this will dent their sales. The iPhone 5 has a starting price from £529. Apples rivals are not standing still though and Nokia have their new phone arriving soon The Nokia Lumia 920; price to be announced, plus Samsung have just launched their Galaxy S 111 from £480, which has already sold 20 million worldwide in the past couple of months and is powered by the Google Android system.
