Will you shop the Boxing Week sales?
Christmas is just a few short days away, and already shoppers are preparing to make great savings in the Boxing Week sales.
Traditionally, shops open on Boxing Day and offer huge reductions on unsold stock, but over the years and thanks to the help of online shopping, sales began to last longer.
Today stores begin their online sales as early as Christmas Eve and will continue in store until the first week of January.
Many of us who would get up early to go to the shops on Boxing Day no longer feel the need. Others never miss the sales to get bargains on items like electronics, clothing and homeware at the big department stores.
What do you think of the Boxing Day sales? Are they worthwhile for the bargains, or another indication that consumerism has changed the meaning of Christmas? Share your views below!
