Do your Royal Mail deliveries currently meet your expectations?
Is it just me, or have you noticed a reduction in regular postal deliveries to your home, recently?
As of today, we haven’t had any post or letters delivered to our home for well over a week! Previously, when our postie took a holiday, another postie was assigned the round to cover any shortfalls in delivery, but apparently now, due to staff shortages and not recruiting replacement posties when any leave, cover is not provided.
Apparently, other households across Britain appear to be receiving their post weeks late and in huge bundles amid staffing issues, but Royal Mail has said it is not a widespread problem. Post being delivered three weeks late by Royal Mail has led to missed appointments and has impacted trade, according to other reports circulating.
Efficiency and timeliness are crucial factors when assessing the quality of a postal service. Most customers expect their mail and packages to be delivered promptly and Royal Mail has a duty to maintain its vital role in connecting people and businesses across the nation.
With the cost of postage ever increasing surely Royal Mail has a responsibility and contract when a stamp is affixed to an envelope or parcel, to deliver in a timely manner?
What is your experience? Have you missed a hospital appointment because a letter was not delivered? Has your birthday gone by without receiving a card on your special day?
