Hello to everyone in Barry! I am hoping to find someone that could help me walk my 2 dogs on Pencoedtre Fields- generally it would be early evening around 5.30pm. They are two gorgeous fur babies and would enjoy the company too whilst out walking them. {lease just let me know if you are able to help- much appreciated!! :)

I’m a volunteer reading helper with national children’s reading charity Coram Beanstalk. They provide a couple of short training sessions and have a support team who look after you through the whole joining process and then they match you with a local school. You get a lot of say in where you are placed and then you go in one afternoon a week to work with three children individually. The sessions are all about having fun with books, sharing stories, chatting and talking. The books are provided and the children are a delight. It’s such a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! Across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands there are loads of vacancies - schools who have asked for volunteers - but the charity is struggling to recruit them. If you think you have some time spare every week (you’re allowed to take holidays during the term time) then please get in touch with them to find out how you can get involved. Www.corambeanstalk.org.uk/register-now I can’t recommend this volunteering enough - I love it!!
