Just joined the site today so thought I would say hello and introduce myself. My name is Dave and I'm 57 years old and a carer for my wife Jacqueline who has early onset Alzheimers Disease, diagnosed in December 2019 when she was just 56. I'm originally from Liverpool but living in leafy (and damp!) Worcester Park these days. Being a carer has led to a good deal of isolation and I have been feeling frankly lonely - I work full time in IT but have been working from home since March 2020 - so I am looking to try to make new friends and meet new people. My interests/hobbies include history, reading, walking, films, the environment, board and wargames on a casual basis, just socialising basically. Looking forward to chatting with people on here and hopefully making some good friends.
