Would you like to see a debate happen about the monarchy?
Watch this postAs we approach the end of the Queen's reign the country needs an honest, grown-up debate about the monarchy. We need to stop and ask ourselves: Can't we just choose our next head of state? With polls showing young people wanting an elected head of state, the succession of King Charles will be a major turning point in the monarchy's history and in the growth of Britain's republican movement. There is going to be Billboards about this up and down the country. Interested?

On Monday July 26 the first 12 billboards will start to go up around the UK!
They won't all go up on the same day, but should all be up by the end of next week.
As they go up we'll add new updates and let you know exactly where they are. Be sure to go and see them, get photos and selfies and share on social media or email them to Republic.
Thank you for your amazing support and for making these billboards a reality!

"Any of our children should be able to aspire to be elected Head of Stat. Such a position should not be owned by a family descended from a bunch of what were essentially medieval gangsters and mafioso."
Yes that is what's proposed.

I once compared the German president same as Irish president who are elected to serve the people to the monarchy where the queen can only ever do what the PM asks not for the interests of the people she has no role to play, she is pointless and powerless so monarchy gives.government hatoo much power with no checks
